The WorldView Live Pitch
As part of One World Media Week, a group of new and emerging documentary filmmakers took part in a live pitch event, with the chance to win funding for their documentary plus a commission from Community Channel.
The live pitch took place at One World Media's New Talent Day, and was organised in collaboration with WorldView broadcast media scheme and the Documentary Filmmakers Group. The first prize was a bursary worth up to £8000.
Seven new and emerging filmmakers were selected to take part, and beforehand they received a workshop from top international pitching trainer Christina Burnett, to help them learn the all important skill of making a good pitch.
'WorldView', formerly the CBA-DFID Broadcast Media Scheme, works via the media to improve public understanding of the developing world.
