Student Media Fund
The Student Media Fund supports students on selected media courses in the UK, to help them make a piece of media in a developing country as part of their course. It is run as part of the One World Student Media Programme - click here for more information.
Applications open for second round of funding - deadline 6th April
Applications are now open for the second round of funding in 2010. The deadline is 12 noon on 6th April 2010.
Please be aware that the second round of funding is only open to students at the following universities:
- University College Falmouth
- Brunel University
- Royal Holloway
- Liverpool John Moores University
- University of Ulster
In addition, students who apply must have sat, or go on to sit, the two-day workshop that is being run as part of the One World Student Media Programme - click here for more on the project and the workshop.
How to Apply
Firstly, please make sure you have read the funding guidelines (download link on the right).
To apply, you will need to send us the documents below attached to one email (although references may be emailed separately from your tutor).
1. a completed application form (right)
2. a brief personal CV (not more than two pages)
3. a proposal for the media you wish to produce, which must not exceed 4 pages. See the guidelines (right) for full details on what this should contain.
4. a reference from your course tutor. Applications without a reference will not be accepted – we need to receive assurance that your project has the backing of your institution, and that they will lend you the necessary equipment (if applicable)
