Clothilde Redfern - Acting Director

52991262950679staff2010ClothildeRedfern.jpgClothilde's responsibilities include running the organisation's flagship event, the One World Media Awards and producing the accompanying screenings, panel discussions and pitching sessions that make up One World Media Week. She also contributes to the further development of the Trust's work and manages various projects with partner organisations.

Clothilde started her career in print media working for the International Herald Tribune in Paris then Marie Claire magazine in Sydney. She moved to London in 2005 and joined the Media Trust's production team making documentaries for the Community Channel. Prior to joining One World Media she spent 4 years at Channel 4 where she worked in the Documentaries department and Film4. Since 2006 she has also been working in a voluntary capacity as a programmer for the Birds Eye View Film Festival.

Clothilde joined One World Media in 2009.

 

Derek Thorne - Programme Coordinator

63231244214379adminDerekpic.jpgDerek has a background in journalism, as well as international development projects that involve media and communication. He has worked as a radio journalist since 2002, reporting on health, science, and development issues for various outlets. He has also worked on participatory film projects in Tanzania and the UK, and spent a year living in Bangladesh working for a disability advocacy organisation. He is currently a Trustee of a charity that aims to improve governance in Tanzania.

He joined One World Media in 2007, and currently works on project management, fundraising and the organisation's communications.

Leanne Dmyterko - Project Assistant

72011262950522staff2010LeanneDmyterko.jpgLeanne is primarily responsible for assisting with all aspects of coordination of the 2010 One World Media Awards and One World Media Week.

With a diverse academic background in Cultural Anthropology, Communications, and History of Art, Leanne moved to London from the west coast of Canada in 2008 to complete a Masters degree at UCL. Her research focused on the intersection of Contemporary art and Globalisation studies through an examination of practices from Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Throughout the past few years, she has worked in various communications capacities relating to both development and the arts, with a strong focus on media relations, writing, and event coordination.

She joined One World Media in 2010.
