As we count down to the One World Media Awards 2019 it occurred to us that our longlisted entries present an excellent set of playlists to catch up on the past year of underreported stories. This week, we highlight the underreported stories featured in our Radio & Audio Award longlist.

From an Indian rave to a gold rich mountain in Peru, here’s our latest One World Media Awards playlist on underreported stories in radio and audio.

Here you’ll find an array of distinctive characters that lead you through major stories that often do not reach the headlines.

Whether it’s deciphering the role of satire or music in politics or investigating corrupt health services or land rights, radio & audio continues to be a dynamic medium that can open your eyes – and ears – to world debates.
